CCPIT’s President Mr. Wan Jifei Introduces the 1st China-Latin America Business Summit to a Delegation of Ambassadors and Officials

On 15 June 2007, the president of CCPIT, Mr. Wan Jifei held a meeting with ambassadors and business officials from 11 Latin American countries. Mr. Wan introduced to the guests the background information and current development of the first China-Latin America Business Summit, and suggested the ambassadors introduce the Summit to their countries so that their government delegates and enterprises could attend the Summit, taking this opportunity to introduce their countries’ trade and investment environment to the Chinese enterprises. At the meeting, most ambassadors congratulated the Summit on behalf of their governments and indicated that they would promote the Summit in their countries. In addition, the ambassadors proposed many constructive suggestions. The Vice-president of CCPIT, Mr. Yu Ping, delegates from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Export-Import bank of China and Chile Bank were present at the meeting.

 

The 1st China-Latin America Business Summit is to be convened in Santiago, Chile on Nov.27th, 2007. It will be an event of great significance in the history of the economic and trade cooperation between China and Latin America. Now there are 20 chambers of commerce or associations form 14 Latin American countries agree to be supporting organizations of the Summit, and promise to organize enterprise delegation or encourage enterprises to attend the Summit.
