On the morning of April 2, Wu Bangguo, chairman of NPC Standing Committee and member of CPC Central Committee Political Bureau visited the new CIEC, accompanied by secretary of Beijing Municipality Liu Qi, and Beijing Vice Mayor Lu Hao.

CCPIT Chairman Wan Jifei reported to Wu Bangguo on project planning of new CIEC, construction progress and the China International Fashion Fair. Wu Bangguo was satisfied with the general conditions, hoping that the new CIEC would better serve high-level exhibitions with world-class functions and services. Wan Jifei appreciated Wu for his concern and support, saying that CCPIT would keep working to improve the facilities and services as expected by the central government. Zheng Shijun, president of CIEC Investment and Development Company, was also present.
