At the noon of August 31, 2007, a grand feast was hosted by CCPIT Vice Chairman Yu Ping in meeting with members of the China-India Celebrity Forum. The two sides exchanged views on how to strengthen Sino-Indian ties through this forum. According to Yu Ping, this forum functions as a government advisory body, and thus plays an important role in promoting bilateral relations. The Indian Co-Chair of this forum spoke highly of it, paying tribute to CCPIT’s dedication into bilateral trade promotion.

Attending the meeting were more than 30 representatives from both sides, including the Chinese Co-Chair of the forum, also former Vice Foreign Minister Liu Shuqing.
